iCERP Advisory Board
The Advisory Board ensures that iCERP realizes its promise in innovation, internationalism, focus on the individual and broad impact. The Board is composed of experts in the fields of education, research, government and business who share a commitment to stewarding the transformation of education. Advisory Board members represent leaders in their fields from University of California at San Diego, OECD, Educause, San Diego County Department of Education, Digital Promise, United Way, Educational Enrichment Systems (EES), Google, Manpower West, California Department of Education, GSV Advisors, IDEO, Qualcomm, Palomar College, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Solatube, Montessori Institute of San Diego, City of Vista, San Diego Workforce Partnership, Gulf University for Science and Technology, and more. The Board serves as curators of the future engaging in thought leadership discussions stimulated by iCERP initiatives in key research areas.

Action Council
The iCERP Action Council is composed of leaders from the three primary partners of the Center: Vista Unified School District, University of California at San Diego and the San Diego Workforce Partnership. Under the direction of the iCERP Executive Director, the Action Council members are responsible for realizing the work of iCERP in the three board areas of transformation: Early Education, Personal Learning and Relevant Connections to the World of Work. Action Council members are also responsible for promoting the inter-sectionality of thought with and among the iCERP Advisory Board Members. The iCERP Action Council members meet frequently to drive the projects forward.

Executive Director
The iCERP Executive Director is responsible for the overall leadership of the Center, including articulation of vision and mission. The Executive Leader serves as the center point among the Advisory Board members, Action Council leaders, and education ecosystem stakeholders.

Ed Neuro Project
The Ed Neuro project combines the expertise of UCSD neuroscientists, cognitive scientists and experts in education
transformation with teachers to develop real-time research projects aimed to close the achievement and opportunity
gaps before they open. Additionally, this project takes aim at better aligning academic and social/emotional

The Early Academic Readiness and Learning Intervention (EARLI) Singing Study combines the expertise of UCSD
neuroscientists, cognitive scientists, and experts in music education from the San Diego Children’s Choir, working with
teachers in Vista TK classrooms, to implement an intensive vocal music program designed to promote the development
of fundamental language, cognitive, and musical skills to address potential achievement and opportunity gaps before
